Aston Martin DB7

IT'S A DEAL: Mike is on the lookout for an Aston Martin DB7. The cheapest used Astons in the UK now are around £16,000 but Mike decides he wants to spend less and calls around a few contacts. How much can he haggle the dealer down to?

BREWER. MIKE BREWER: Mike does his best James Bond impression on his way back to the workshop. The Aston Martin DB7 has a supercharged straight-6 engine with more than 300bhp and is capable of more than 150mph.

LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL: The car has interior water leaks and external oil leaks and the engine is blowing. This Aston feels unloved but maybe Edd can give it some T.L.C.

ALLOY THERE: The alloys were looking dated so Mike takes them to a specialist to be acid-stripped and painted in dark chrome to smarten them up.

SMOOTHING THINGS OUT: The alloy sprayer doing some essential sprucing up to bring the wheels up to date.

WORKSHOP CONFERENCE: Mike is back in the workshop to check up on Edd. The car is still looking unloved but has Edd managed to sort all the mechanical problems out?

SOMETHING FISHY GOING ON: Mike and Edd take the newly restored DB7 for a spin to the local chip shop where it is sure to impress.

DAYS OF GLORY: Have Mike and Edd managed to sort out all the problems and restore this faded British masterpiece to its former glory?

PROFIT OR LOSS? Was this Aston Martin DB7 cheap for a reason? Find out if Mike manages to make a profit even after all the work Edd has to put into it.

STEER ME IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION: The interior is in good condition with a smart walnut interior console.

WORLD OF LEATHER: The car feels luxurious with grey leather seats and dark blue piping.

PUT IT ON THE GRILLE: Edd agrees that the black plastic grille makes the DB7 look stuck in the 1990s so Mike spends big money on a new metal one.

BACK ON TRACK: Mike has the alloys sprayed and replaces the front tyres to help the handling although Edd has to make a lot of adjustments to bring the steering back on track.

STEAMY WINDOWS: The car smells of damp inside and when Mike takes it for a test drive the windows steam up! Edd uses a smoke machine inside the car to work out where the water is getting in and gets a tip on how to fix this cheaply.

SUPER CHARGED: This prestige car needs prestige replacement parts...at prestige prices. Unfortunately, Edd has to buy a couple of parts brand new as he doesn't want to cut corners on this high performance engine. Will Mike be able to make enough of a profit after these expenses?
