Range Rover

STRIKE A POSE: Mike buys a 2006 TD6 Vogue Land Rover Mark 3 for the bargain price of £5k. The car has been heavily customised. Robbie the dealer diplomatically calls it an "acquired taste". Mike calls it hideous!

THE REAL WORK BEGINS: Why has Mike chosen such an ugly duckling? It’s been painted matt black with an electric blue hood and blue trim on the wheels. Mike's plan is to re-spray it white then sell it off and double his money. First Edd has to tackle some mechanical problems.

LOOKING TRIM: The interior trim needs an overhaul but they need to cut the cost of this restoration. Mike visits a company which can update all the nasty electric blue interior trim to a carbon fibre looking trim using a process that Mike cannot believe even with his own eyes!

ALL TERRAIN: When Mike is on the test drive he notices a fault on the dashboard with the 'Air Suspension' which changes the suspension height depending on the terrain. Can Edd tackle this himself?

A TOP TIP FROM EDD: Edd has to sort out the sluggish engine and tries out a diagnostic machine to try to work out what is wrong. He finds out that one of the 6 injector cylinders is showing up as faulty. Find out how Edd sorts this out with a money saving tip.

PREPARATION IS EVERYTHING: Edd starts removing the textured matt black paint before dismantling the car for the re-spray.

SNOW WHITE: Edd has to completely strip the car of parts including much of the interior before it is re-sprayed white.

SPINNING AROUND: The 22" wheels are sent off for a refurbishment.

FACE LIFT: The Range Rover gets a face lift with a new front end and new lights to bring it up to date. Edd has to tackle some electrical work to fit the new lights.

WORLD OF LEATHER: The real leather seats with cream piping are in good condition but the interior trim needed updating.

CAR BOOT SALE: A large trunk for your Hunter wellies and Barbour jacket.

TOP OF THE RANGE: This generation of Ranger Rovers changed the fortunes of the Land Rover brand. Once the preserve of our great British Police Force they are now the vehicle of choice for footballers & popstars.

THE COUNTRY SET: It looks as if Mike's gamble has paid off. Mike and Edd are off to join the country set!
