Read MoreQ: What can we expect to see in this new season? How is it different from previous seasons?
Mike: We’ve got some new cars, great cars and they're not all American. Some people are thinking that maybe we’ve abandoned our European and worldwide roots, but no actually we’ve got some good American cars, like a 1965 GTO, but also got some great little British cars, like a 1959 MGA, and cars like that are going to be really exciting.
Q: What do you think the fans will be most excited to see this season?
Mike: I think the really exciting thing about this season is the fact that we’ve been bold, we’ve been brave and we’ve taken on the best of what America has to offer. And hopefully it translates and comes on the screen and entertains you guys.
Q: Do you expect that you can pull off the same kind of deals in the US that you do in the UK?
Mike: Here in America, when you do a deal it’s very much in your face; it’s a very much do you want it or don’t you want it kind of process. Where in England and other places in the world, we skip around each other. I think it’s going to be a bit of a challenge but I’m up for that, and I reckon I can pull off some really good profits here because I found some beautiful cars and I know you’re going to do amazing work and hopefully it will deliver us great profit.
Q: If you could pick any location to film the show and go for a drive, where would it be?
Mike: California, USA, the cars are rust free!! Yipeee, and the scenery for shooting is amazing.
Q: Have you and Edd ever fallen out over a project?
Mike: Never, until I found out Edd had sprayed the wheels on the Porsche 944 Turbo I bought ORANGE!!!!
Q: If you had no budget, what would be the craziest thing you'd do to a car?
Mike: Make it fly!! Edd could fit a jet engine and wings before we blast off into the sunset.
Q: Have you ever accidentally done anything that made a car worse than when you found it, or beyond repair?
Mike: Never, what a question... I'm an expert...
Q: What's your number one piece of advice for someone buying a used car?
Mike: Do a data check... cost the same as a tank of fuel and could save you a fortune.
Q: If you had to pick three musicians to listen to while driving, who would they be?
Mike: Paul Weller, Bob Marley, Frank Sinatra.
Q: What do you think has been the best car gadget invention?
Mike: The seat belt, then air bags, then sat nav.
Q: What would you be doing if you had never got into the car trade?
Mike: Selling fruit and veg...
Q: If someone gave you the chance to name a new car, what would you call it?
Mike: The Sheater! Or the Thesis!
Q: What's the silliest thing you've ever heard of someone wanting to do to a car?
Mike: A swimming pool! How does that work around corners?
Q: Which is harder, negotiating a bargain when you're buying or selling? What makes a good haggler?
Mike: Buying a car for the right price in the first place is the secret to car dealing... Everything sells for a price. So get it as cheap as you can.
